About the Author: David R. Mills

David R. Mills is a highly accomplished helicopter pilot with a distinguished 47-year career and over 15,000 flight hours. A Vietnam War veteran, he flew AH-1G Huey Cobra gunships, earning two Distinguished Flying Cross medals. After his military service, he joined the Québec Provincial Police as a helicopter pilot, conducting critical rescues and law enforcement missions. Later, Mills became a test pilot for Bell Helicopter, showcasing his expertise and passion for aviation innovation, safety, and service.
